"Not factoring in Alphabet, which has Verily and Calico, multiple groups within Google are interested in health".

David Feinberg is moving to the new Google health-care post after leading the Geisinger health system, which includes a health plan and hospital system operating in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The report says Feinberg will coordinate the health features in Google Fit, Nest, Google Search, Google Brain, and the company's cloud business.

Feinberg has been at Geisinger, a health system in Pennsylvania that provides health insurance as well as care through its medical centers, since 2015. Geisinger's executive VP and chief medical officer, Jaewon Ryu, M.D., will take over as interim president and CEO starting December 1, before a monthlong transition period. The health system has also had a number of partnerships with industry to tackle digital health.

Google has hired USA healthcare veteran David Feinberg to oversee all of its health ventures.

"For the past 4-5 years we've been excited by our early work showing how AI can help improve healthcare, from detecting cancer and eye disease to alerting doctors when patients urgently need care", Dean tweeted. Ryu is a practicing emergency medicine physician and an attorney.

This was reported controlled by terrorists Amaq news Agency, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to the Correspondent. He then went on a rampage with a knife, trying to stab members of the public and police, before being shot in the chest.

"When I joined Geisinger more than two years ago, I knew I was joining an organization with a longstanding national reputation for advancing medicine through innovation", Ryu said.

A representative from Google on Friday referred Business Insider to Dean's tweet but didn't comment further on the hire. The company also brought on Dr. Vivian Lee, former CEO of University of Utah Health Care, as president of health platforms for Alphabet's Verily Life Sciences.

Google is an active participant in the healthcare big data and interoperability ecosystem, with an interest in FHIR and APIs.

This isn't the first time Feinberg has had a brush with tech.

Feinberg had been rumored as one of the top candidates to lead the Amazon-JP Morgan-Berkshire Hathaway health venture. That role ultimately went to Dr. Atul Gawande.
