Climate Change May Chastise US economy US government report says

The former Vice President has become an outspoken advocate of the need to take steps to prevent global warming.

Former vice-president and Democratic presidential candidate Gore accused Trump of seeking to "hide the truth" by releasing the report on Black Friday.

Ordered by Congress and made public by the Trump administration, it says the Earth and the USA economy are in danger.

CBS News reported that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was orginally expected to release the report on December, and announced ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday it was bringing forward the release date to Friday. The president "may try to hide the truth, but his own scientists and experts have made it as stark and clear as possible", his statement said.

National Wildlife Federation President and CEO Collin O'Mara also waded in, criticizing the timing of the release.

Study co-author Andrew Light, an global policy expert at the World Resources Institute, told The Associated Press that releasing the report on Black Friday 'is a transparent attempt by the Trump Administration to bury this report and continue the campaign of not only denying but suppressing the best of climate science'.

The report is the latest scientific work to warn that the planet is due to undergo devastating changes in the coming years that will permanently alter the coastlines, worsen droughts and storms and foster the outbreaks of risky diseases as temperatures climb.

White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters noted that work on the assessment began under the administration of former US president Barack Obama and uses multiple modeling scenarios to assess the effects of climate change.

Ayodhya Municipal Corporation Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay, however, said there was no fear or apprehension among the Muslims. The Sena chief dared the Modi government to announce a date for the construction for a temple at the disputed site.

It focuses on how global warming from the burning of coal, oil and gas is hurting each region of the United States and warns that hurricanes and wildfire disasters are worsening in the US because of global warming.

He wrote, "Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS - Whatever happened to Global Warming?"

"This is the coldest weather in the history of the Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC, and one of the coldest Thanksgivings on record!" he tweeted.

The staggering 1656-page report, the second volume of the fourth National Climate Assessment, outlines the ways in which climate change is expected to affect life on our planet on virtually every level. And coastal flooding is projected to force communities to move elsewhere.

She said the next climate assessment, which will be prepared over the next four years, will "provide for a more transparent and data-driven process that includes fuller information on the range of potential scenarios and outcomes". The first part, released past year, says the only convincing explanation for climate change is human activity.

Rush Holt, chief executive officer of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, said the economic warning shows that "policymakers can no longer afford to dismiss or ignore the overwhelming scientific evidence of climate change".

The 2018 National Climate Assessment addresses the change in temperatures globally, 'Over climate timescales of multiple decades. global temperature continues to steadily increase'.

"The report is largely based on the most extreme scenario, which contradicts long-established trends by assuming that, despite strong economic growth that would increase greenhouse gas emissions, there would be limited technology and innovation, and a rapidly expanding population", a White House spokesperson said in the email.
