Huawei Is Testing Google’s Secretive Fuchsia OS On Honor Play

On Thanksgiving, Google gave everyone a surprise and a new change in code reveals about the first smartphone to be used for Fuchsia OS.

Google's secretive new operating system project Fuchsia just got an exciting support bump from Huawei.

Honor Play latest games Huawei phone, it is one of the many phones that the company released a processor Kirin 970. As most of you are aware, that the Tech Giant has been working on the new Fuchsia operating system and a new commit to the project this week which is made by an engineer of Huawei has been spotted.

Further, Huawei engineers contributed to the Fuchsia project code several times over the previous year, but not in any significant way.

In January 2018, Google published code Fuchsia OS. In addition to this, it also confirms that Fuschia's Core platform "Zircon" was tested on the Honor Play.

This marks several firsts for Fuchsia.

Engineers with Huawei a year ago to participate in the development of Fuchsia, but testing your code on real devices still out of the question.

Huawei Honor Play is the first consumer Android device which is being tested on Fuchsia and apart from Google, Huawei will be the first company to make a big contribution to the open source project. Honor is Huawei's second smartphone brand, and the Kirin 970 is the processor that Huawei launched in 2017, the chip that powers a variety of phones including P20 and Mate 10 varieties.

That means other devices, like the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, and Huawei Mate 10 and 10 Pro, among others, could also gain compatibility with Fuchsia in the future. However, several other Huawei phones use the same Kirin 970 base.
