Democrat Quits Race, Vows To Sue State

Republican Brian Kemp has officially won the Georgia Governor's race, denying Democrat Stacey Abrams the chance to become the first female black governor in the nation.

Bradley Whitford and Alyssa Milano are among the showbiz figures who have called for a boycott of the state, citing claims of voter suppression and that the election was overseen by Kemp, who was Georgia's secretary of state.

'So yes, there was a deliberate and intentional disinvestment and, I think, destruction of the administration of elections in the state of Georgia, ' she noted.

Abrams also told CNN's "State of the Union" on Sunday that she intends to run for public office again in the future.

Per Georgia law, a runoff would be automatically triggered if neither candidate received 50 percent of the vote.

Trump took credit for Kemp's win on Sunday.

He asked her, "do you think that there was deliberate interference in the election?" The next big shot for Democrats is a 2020 Senate race, with Republican Sen.
