Le'Veon Bell hasn't talked to Steelers, unlikely to report this week

The two-time All-Pro running back was set to make $14.5 million this season, but his decision to sit out the first nine weeks of the regular season have chipped away at how much he could actually make if he were to report to the team this season.

After learning more about what his status would be for next season under the NFL's CBA, there's now a "real possibility" Le'Veon Bell won't report to the Pittsburgh Steeler by the franchise tag deadline of November 13.

Pictures and videos circulated online late Tuesday of Bell in the club.

Despite the video, there was no indication Wednesday that Bell had visited the team's facility. Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, Bell must report to the Steelers by 4 p.m. ET next Tuesday or he will be ineligible for the remainder of the season, a source confirmed to ESPN.

If Bell fails to report, the transition tag would be around $14.5 million, or 120 percent of his $12.1 million franchise tag from 2017, since that's the a year ago he played. He can become a free agent in 2019 if the Steelers do not place a third tag on him.

The Steelers placed the franchise tag on him for the second straight year last March and failed to reach a long-time deal by the summer time deadline.

The Rzucek family watched from a row of chairs, holding hands, as Rourke spoke to reporters but did not speak. The dad pleaded to news outlets for the family's safe return the day before he was arrested in their deaths .

Bell has been in Miami working out this season but did leave Monday to head to Pittsburgh.

"If he doesn't want to play for $14.5 million, why would he want to play for $5 million?" the source told ESPN, referring to the prorated balance remaining on Bell's $14.5 million franchise tender.

"Just about everybody has an opinion on my life & anxious about what I'm doing", Bell wrote.

But seriously, though. How do you do that upside-down thing on Twitter? & that's clearly on them.

"I'm not apologizing for what I believe is right for myself, family and the rest of my peers, period".
