The two-person band featured Lima and Brad Fischetti. They removed the tumor and tested it, only to find that Lima had Stage 4 cancer. LFO was known for songs like "Summer Girls", "Girl on TV", and "Every Other Time".

"Surgery was great", Lima's bandmate, Brad Fischetti, shared at the time.

Lima's mother confirmed to US Weekly that Lima passed early Wednesday morning.

Lima was first diagnosed with cancer after doctors reportedly found a large tumor that was pressing on a number of his internal organs. Following a battle with cancer, he died today at the age of 41. "But he asked me to send you his love and gratitude for all the love and prayers you've sent his way".

"I wish we had better news to share".

At the time of Devin's diagnosis the band's publicist said LFO were "distraught" and hoped to see Devin 'back on stage doing what he does best'.

Lima and Fischetti were planning to hit the road for another leg of their Rich in Love tour but had to postpone due to the singer's health problems. "No one has a stronger body, mind or soul, and if anybody can defeat this, it's Devin". He had been hospitalized in 2010 while receiving treatment and ended up suffering a stroke due to complications from medicine.

"Summer Girls": The summer anthem hit song featured many pop culture references including Michael J. Fox, his "Family Ties" character Alex P. Keaton, New Edition, Larry Bird, and Abercrombie and Fitch.
