MICROSOFT'S UPDATE HORRIBLUS has begun to roll out again after being pulled on account of eating user data.

Windows Insiders are undoubtedly celebrating the drop of a new preview build today that's bringing a new Light Theme feature, new snip options, additional modern printing solutions and more; but it's perhaps the update to Windows Update that should be the star of today's Fast Ring release.

"We will up our effort to improve our ability to prevent issues and our ability to respond quickly and openly when issues do arise", Microsoft's Windows Corporate VP Michael Fortin said on the company's Windows blog.

It brings new features to Windows 10, chief among them a new integration with Android phones. Going forward, Windows Insiders using build 18282 will be able to now pause updates or use Intelligent Active Hours to avoid the dreaded update prompt during busy workloads. The company also pushed cumulative updates to all the older versions of the operating system, including version 1809.

Ohio State has a special teams win
The running game has to develop, yet in a game where they weren't forced to pass to catch-up, they only ran the ball 18 times. Ohio State led 7-6 heading into the seven half and had the ball in Michigan State territory in seven of eight possessions.

Microsoft on Tuesday released 16 software updates to fix more than 60 security holes in various flavors of Windows and other Microsoft products.

For those folks struggling to recall it, Microsoft had announced back in September that it had extended the support schedule for Windows 10 feature updates to 30 months (instead of 18 months), but the extension only applied to Enterprise and Education edition users. The update fixes just one vulnerability in Flash, but I'm sure most of us would rather Flash died off completely already. Such users may typically get Windows 10 feature updates automatically from Microsoft's Windows Update service, but they won't arrive if the telemetry readings are off.

The new update should start rolling out soon to Windows 10 PCs, or you can manually check for updates and get it right away.

"In addition to extensive internal validation, we have taken time to closely monitor feedback and diagnostic data from our Windows Insiders and from the millions of devices on the Windows 10 October Update, and we have no further evidence of data loss", wrote Windows Servicing and Delivery's John Cable.
