National Football League linebacker Reuben Foster arrested on domestic violence charge

The San Francisco 49ers have released linebacker Reuben Foster after he was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence.

Foster was arrested by the Tampa police at the Grand Hyatt hotel on Saturday, where the team is staying before they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.

A custody report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office confirmed the alleged victim of the assault had been in an on-again-off-again relationship for three years with Foster.

Foster has had multiple run-ins with the law since being drafted by the 49ers 31st overall in 2017.

Foster has 29 tackles in six games this season with no sacks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries or interceptions.

Foster faced a felony domestic violence charge this past April and went to court, but a judge dismissed the case.

Bulldogs win Egg Bowl, snatch back Golden Egg
Mississippi State answered with the final score of the half on a nine-yard pass from Fitzgerald to Deddrick Thomas. Mississippi State held the Rebels to a total of 189 yards of offense and the Bulldogs gained 420 yards of offense.

After winning the Butkus Award at Alabama during the 2016-17 season, Foster was projected as a top-10 pick.

Foster has struggled on the field this season as well as he has dealt with shoulder and hamstring injuries. It was later revealed he failed a drug test with a dilute sample.

Lynch, who used his second draft choice on Foster after becoming a first-time general manager two months earlier, stood by the Foster selection despite questions about Foster away from football.

Because Foster has been falsely accused before, so people should wait until all the facts are out. I believe in the kid and I think it's going to be, he's going to be a great player for this organization for a long time. That's how we feel about it. He had missed the past two games because of a hamstring injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday.
