Peter Uihlein leads crowded Summerlin field after two rounds

Bryson De Chambeau carded a 65

Here's a recap of the third round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

"It's getting close to where I feel like I can just kind of point, aim, shoot, which is where I want to be", said Spieth, whose last win came at the 2017 British Open.

"You're going to have to make a lot of birdies", Uihlein said of the final round. Palmer's sizzling round included six birdies over his first eight holes, with five straight circles from Nos. He too birdied 14, 15 and 16, and finished off his round by salvaging a birdie from the right rough at the ninth.

"Still not seeing the line as well as I would like to", DeChambeau said. "I think I played well the whole week, but didn't hole a few putts on the last and that was it". A lot of just good sightlines with some good bunker placements.

"I was able to play some great golf", DeChambeau said.

Lucas Glover, the 2009 US Open champion, fired a 61 to stand one stroke behind the co-leaders, with defending champion Patrick Cantlay and Robert Streb both on 199 and Cameron Champ, a rookie who won his first US PGA title last week in MS, completing an all-USA top six on 200.

Trump to spend election day out of public eye
Trump was there to amp up the crowd for Hawley ahead of the vote. "They're hiding their agenda from the American people", he said. It was an extraordinary scene after the news network had worked Monday to establish distance between Hannity and the campaign.

The 2010 U.S. Amateur champion wasn't quite as good as he was Day 1, but he shot a 5-under 66 to take a two-shot lead into moving day.

Bryson DeChambeau (66) trailed by three shots while Jordan Spieth, in his first appearance in the Nevada desert, overcame some poor drives to card a 68 that left him five back.

Best of the rest: After bagging his first win last week in Mississippi, Cameron Champ got right back to business at TPC Summerlin. Champ won the Sanderson Farms last week in MS for his first tour title.

Rickie Fowler, playing for the first time since the Americans' Ryder Cup loss to Europe in France in September, had six birdies in a four-under 67 to head a group on seven-under. "That's something I'll take with me moving forward".

Glover started Saturday eight shots off the pace and slipped further behind with an opening bogey at the 10th, but he revived his fortunes with a 25-foot putt for birdie at the 12th and another from double that distance which dropped for eagle at the next.

Local favorite Momoko Ueda, who won the Japan Classic in 2011, shot five birdies with a bogey for a 68 to share second place with Japan's Saki Nagamine and Spain's Carlota Ciganda.
