After losing at Twickenham‚ the Boks are now under pressure to win at the Stade de France on Saturday and although Erasmus wants to grow his depth‚ his key objective now is winning.

Rassie teaches the "Farrell tackle"!

"Angus Gardner is a world-class referee, who is rated by World Rugby".

"The injury is not as bad as we initially thought and we will give Eben time until Tuesday to prove his fitness", said Erasmus.

Erasmus and Springboks defence coach Jacques Nienaber subsequently were filmed on Monday showing Esterhuizen how to execute a tackle similar to that made by Farrell.

De Allende was a bit more reserved and insisted he wasn't aware of a plan to specifically alter the way the Boks tackle.

Sitting where I was, you couldn't hear what he said. "But afterwards watching it on the television, I think it was a lovely gesture".

"The coaches put a lot of emphasis on preparation and we work hard during training camps and obviously fine-tune our game plan in the week leading up to a Test".

"If you watch that full speed, he has a big runup on me and we both bounce off each other and end up on the floor", Farrell said post-game. It is what it is, that's World Rugby's problem.

Esterhuizen got it right on the third attempt, burying his shoulder into the tackle bag and belatedly bringing half-an-arm around afterwards, which earned a round of applause from Erasmus! "There was nothing wrong with the tackle so we can also start doing that".

The 26-year-old, who delivered one of his better attacking performances at Twickenham, also emphasised the importance of the Boks adapting and "respecting" the heavier conditions in the Northern Hemisphere.

"I think all of the youngsters did really well", he said.
