Kristin Kolaszewski, a Green Bay area mom, knows how tricky Halloween can get when there's a child at home with food allergies.

According to the Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE) non-profit group, one in 13 children in the USA has a food allergy.

Instead of the traditional Halloween candy, people are encouraged to hand out non-food items like stickers, glow sticks and other trinkets.

Kolaszewski is a big advocate of the nationally recognized "Teal Pumpkin Project".

Teal Pumpkin Project indicates where allergy free non-food Halloween treats can be found. Its goal is to help promote food allergy awareness and inclusion of all trick-or-treaters.

Arsenal tell Ramsey he will be leaving the club
The Welsh global has been at Arsenal for 10 years and made over 300 appearances for the club since his move from Cardiff. It was he who ended Arsenal's nine-year trophy drought when he scored the FA Cup final victor against Hull in 2014.

Food Allergy Canada is also raising $50,000 to buy 50,000 teal bulbs, which they will distribute across Canada to support children with food allergies. "She also can't have dairy, so anything with chocolate is out for her", said Kolaszewski.

While it's slowly growing, Kaytor hopes more people will start participating.

"It doesn't take very much time to make a kid's day", Frasz said, "and putting a little positivity out there is what our community needs and I'm glad this will keep growing".

"Whether it's a lantern or whether it's a teal lightbulb on your front porch, kids with food allergies will know that your house has options for them that are not food related".
