Lara Trump: Obama Stumping for Dems Shows 'They Must Be Pretty Scared' for Midterms

Speaking at a rally in Macon, Georgia, the president ramped up his hard-line rhetoric on immigration as he issued warnings about the caravan of migrants heading to the USA border with Mexico. "And I feel good about our turnout across the country, and I think we're going to take the House back".

Opinion polls and analysts have suggested Democrats will attain the 23 seats they need to capture a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.

It has been almost two years since former United States president Barack Obama left the White House.

Mr. Trump wrapped up the midterm campaign by rallying Sunday with Tennesseans who could determine whether the GOP expands its 51-49 Senate majority, as Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn vies with former Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen for an open Senate seat, before heading to Missouri Monday to try to flip a Democratic seat into the red column. He said that enthusiasm was off the charts, though polls have shown Democrats to have an enthusiasm edge.

"The level of fervor, the level of fever is very strong on the Republican side", he said. "If polls are right you would have a split outcome", with Democrats winning the House and Republicans keeping control of the Senate.

Mate charged over Angry Anderson son's murder
An application to carry out forensic testing on Flame has been lodged to be heard at Manly Local Court on Monday. Liam Anderson , 26, was found unconscious with serious head injuries by police just after 6am on Sunday morning.

"No, I don't view this as for myself", Trump said, before making the case that his campaigning has "made a big difference" in a handful of Senate races across the country.

"I think I've made a difference of five or six or seven".

But the president - to the unease of some in the party - has instead used his almost nonstop schedule of campaign rallies to keep the spotlight on what he calls the security threat from migrants seeking to enter the U.S. through Mexico.

Meanwhile, President Trump said the final sprint before the polls reminded him of the lead-up to his presidential victory in 2016.

Trump plans to spend Election Day conducting get-out-the-vote interviews with local media at the White House, where he is set to watch returns come in.
