Producer Ronnie Screwvala and director Abhishek Kapoor on Monday said their upcoming film "Kedarnath" has nothing offensive, days after a BJP leader demanded a ban on the movie.

Kedarnath is a love story set in the backdrop of the unprecedented flash floods that ruined the Kedarnath valley in June 2013.

When asked about the controversy, Ronnie told reporters, "First, I want to clarify, till date no one has approached us". Secondly, our role is to get the film censored. Fans and followers of the stellar cast of the film-Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan are quite curious about what will be served to them.

He lunged at them repeatedly with a knife. "I threw the trolley straight at him, and I got him". Footage shows the security guard was stabbed in the neck.

"Third, we are all very creative people, we are all Indian's first and I don't think there's anything (offensive) in the movie", he said.

The makers of the film planned a trailer launch event in Mumbai where the lead actress came in front of the media for an interaction. He alleged that the film promotes love jihad - a term used by the Hindu Right to allege a conspiracy by Muslim men to marry women from other religions to convert them to Islam - and hurts Hindu religious sentiment. I do not know how after just 60 seconds of watching the film (referring to the teaser), somebody forms such an opinion. Our job is to go the censor. "As far as we are concerned, let somebody comment after they have seen the film, we will be happy to get a feedback". "I don't think people will be disappointed", he said. We have shown a lot of love there in the film. "But when they will watch the film, they will understand that we never meant to hurt anyone's sentiment". After much delay, the movie will be hitting the screens on December 7, 2018.

"Kedarnath" is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Pragya Kapoor, Abhishek Kapoor and Abhishek Nayyar.
