2nd Test, Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand at Christchurch, Dec 26

Sri Lanka had looked in a strong position, resuming at 4-88 in reply to New Zealand's first innings of 178, but Boult's Test-best 6-30 turned the match on its head.

At the close of the second day, New Zealand were 231 for two, holding a commanding 305-run lead in their second innings with eight wickets in hand.

Jeet Raval and Tom Latham then put on 121 for the first-wicket as the Black Caps pushed home their advantage before the former departed for 74, caught at short leg off Perera.

After starting play with figures of 0-20 from 10 overs, Boult produced one of the most-destructive spells in Test cricket as he took six wickets for four runs in the space of 15 balls, including three victims in four deliveries. He also managed only seven wickets for 262 runs in three Tests against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

Niroshan Dickwella drove at a ball that curved deviously away from him at the last moment, with Tim Southee diving across from third slip to complete a spectacular one-handed catch.

Boult said he felt some frustration when the wickets weren't coming, though he felt he was bowling well.

The Baker Mayfield training camp QB RV is for sale
But none of that compares to an RV graced with the presence of Baker, Brad (Paisley), Tuh-ROD and good ole' Brobie. He was forced to rent an RV for himself along with Browns QB's Tyrod Taylor and Brogran Roback.

"In the UAE, it's tough conditions for a seam bowler and you come here and you nearly expect it to happen".

"It does flatten out relatively nicely here so it's going to be a different wicket tomorrow (Friday) and the next day so still a lot of hard work to be done, but yeh just one of those things, showed some good qualities of the side and the learnings we've made over the years so it's nice to be in the position we're in". English umpire Michael Gough gave five decisions in a row in Boult's favour.

Angelo Matthews, who saw six of his partners depart on Thursday morning, top scored for Sri Lanka and was not out on 33.

The pair added 50 for the fifth wicket off just 28 balls, with de Grandhomme doing the bulk of the scoring with 37.

Patel, who worked with Latham to produce the first wicketless session in the Test when they batted from lunch to tea, was out in the second over after the resumption for 74.
