Beyond Good and Evil 2 Looks Ambitious and Massive in New Gameplay Video

Of course, this is a preview into a game which is very much still in early development so the footage does feature many unfinished and missing assets, but it still gives fans a glimpse into what's to come. We've also embedded the full gameplay demo - which is 26 minutes long - so we strongly suggest watching that one too.

The alpha footage showcases an expansive open-world environment, as well as giving us a good look at the moment-to-moment co-operative gameplay, various augments, and combat. Only two player co-op was shown, but larger group numbers were not explicitly ruled out. You can use a spyglass to get a better look at distant objects, but also to scan them and find out more information about them. You can collect augments for your character or weapons, and it seems like collecting and choosing which augments to equip is going to be a major part of the game's focus.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 is the spiritual successor to the cult classic, and a prequel that will transport players into a profoundly multicultural world.

Google Fit update brings home screen widgets and other improvements
Users can now add Fit widgets to the home screen for quick access to their Heart Points, Move Minutes and other daily stats. Google Maps isn't the only Google app getting updated today, as Google Fit is also getting improved.

Characters, equipment, and vehicles can all be customized, which adds new abilities.

Ships are also customisable and can also be augmented with various abilities, like being able to shoot healing missiles towards allies. From orbit, you can even look down at the planet below and see landmarks, where your co-op partner may still be exploring. That development might have just been sped up just a bit however, with the development team working on the game now growing.

What we see is a game of impressive scope and ambition, realizing detailed sandbox environments within a larger open-solar-system (yep, I'm making that a thing). We get to see exploration in space, melee combat, and surface travelling.
