I think it's a very good option. We did it so far but of course when we lose I wouldn't like to be misunderstood. We dominated possession [against Chelsea], had a thousand-million passes, but Chelsea beat us by scoring on the breakaway.

"We won today but we have to say that we were a bit lucky in the first 25 minutes because they could have scored". Today I was in trouble with the wingers.

"We played very well in the last minutes of the first half and very, very well in the first 20 minutes of the second half". They had minimum chances and scored and in the second half we were there until the end.

"As a back four, in controlling Hazard we kept them from creating a lot of chances".

This loss leaves City in second, and though they are just a point behind Liverpool this is certainly a significant moment. "That is the Manchester United that we want to see", said a delighted Mata.

When it was suggested his side had an "off-day", he quickly reacted with a repost: "Off day?"

"We are calm, we move forward, it is part of the competition".

"I said again yesterday [Friday] that that [unbeaten in the league] is not going to happen", he said.

Without exception, every year they were on the writers' ballot with Baines all of them out-polled Baines. The vote by the Today's Game Era Committee was sure to spark renewed cries of cronyism at Cooperstown.

Sarri insisted that Chelsea were deserving winners after overcoming a shaky start, but warned that their statement victory will be worthless if they allow their standards to slip when they go away to Brighton next weekend.

"I am very happy with the win because it is not very easy to win against Manchester City or Pep Guardiola".

"We have a team with some difficulties to be motivated", Sarri said.

"We are in December, if you ask if Liverpool can win the Premier League, I would say yes". Maybe he deserved to score and I think he's a very good option [in that position].

Some players and teams thrive in front, while others feel the hot breath of their rivals and it leads to mistakes, lapses of concentration and the kind of wobbles that should not affect a Premier League footballer at the top of his game.

"Because we were in trouble to put pressure to take defenders in the opponent half so we had to defend in our half but it wasn't a choice".
