According to a new report via Nikkei Asian Review, many Chinese firms are offering incentives to their employees to buy Huawei products.

The shares of Apple has fallen down in China.

Some companies have tougher approach essentially threatening to punish employees who use Apple products.

In one such move, a Chinese company has apparently told its employees that those using Apple products will lose chances of promotion and company subsidies. Many companies have voiced their support in buying Chinese made electronic hardware, like from Huawei and ZTE, as opposed to American made ones.

Huawei is not getting support just from the IT firms but other sectors such as food companies as well.

The ongoing trade war between the United States and China could be set to take a significant toll on Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) business. On December 1, Canadian authorities arrested Huawei Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou on the behest of the U.S. Department of Justice, with stateside authorities suspecting the veteran executive of being personally involved in an illegal banking scheme that involved fraud and was organized with the intention of breaking the Commerce Department's trade sanctions placed on Iran. A regional government official said that several hundred businesses were conducting such programs nationwide. Similarly, another device maker Shenzhen Yidaheng Technology said that it will compensate as much as 18% of the Huawei or ZTE device cost. He stressed, however, that the option to choose Huawei over Apple products was "based on voluntary decisions". Chinese firms are protesting against this issue in their own way, where some are offering Two free Huawei Products per Employee while on the other hand, some of the Brewers are offering up to 30% off on Alcohol on showing a receipt of purchasing a Huawei Product. But, one thing is clear, Apple products have now lost the reputation of the status symbol that they once enjoyed in the country. The executive was apprehended during a layover between flights at the request of the US government.

The BBC reported on Monday that BT was also going to exclude Huawei equipment from a communications system it was developing for the UK's police force and other emergency services. In 2012, businesses of Japanese companies were destroyed during the Senkaku Islands controversy.

It's not uncommon for Chinese consumers to boycott companies that have had bad relations with Beijing - South Korean Hyundai Motor and Lotte faced similar problems just previous year, when Seoul deployed a U.S missile defense system.

The growing support for Huawei calls for a boycott and the U.S.

The american government has expressed concern over the fact that both companies might have installed spying devices into their products. A couple of weeks back, Apple also lost an injunction to Qualcomm in China, leading to a ban on some iPhone models in China.
