The Starz drama "Power" shut down production after a auto crash at a Brooklyn shooting location killed a longtime crewmember early Monday.

According to reports, the tragic accident happened a few hours ago in NY during season six production.

Production assistant Pedro Jimenez was setting up traffic cones for a location shoot in Brooklyn for the Starz crime drama at around 4:30 a.m. on Monday when he was struck by an SUV driven by another member of the production.

The driver, a 64-year-old man, remained at the scene.

"On behalf of ALL of us here at Power, we send out deepest condolences to the entire Jimenez family & God, we ask that you warmly receive our good ole Pedro". The 63-year-old was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

50 Cent, who starred in "Power" and is one of the show's executive producers, addressed Jimenez' death in a heartfelt post.

"Power", which is in production on its sixth season, had a production break scheduled for the holidays, though whether or not the show will resume production prior to the break remains to be seen.
