2 Arrested, TV Actress Detained After Diamond Trader Found Dead In Forest

He was in contact with TV actress Devoleena, including many girls working in the dance bar. The businessman was found dead in a forest in Maharashtra's Raigad district a few days ago.

During the investigation, it was found that Udani had connections with many known people including some television actresses.

In another twist in the abduction and murder of Mumbai diamond trader, Rajeshwar Udani, TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharya was summoned for questioning in the case.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee's name mired in the case when the police investigated about the call details of the merchant.

The diamond merchant was missing from November 28, after his auto was found at the Eastern Express Highway in Mumbai. Police found his decomposed body from a forest on Friday. Police are trying to ascertain if Devoleena, girlfriend of the main suspect Sachin Pawar, was aware of the plot. The diamond trader was missing since November 28. Maharashtra Housing Minister Prakash Mehta, and BJP worker Sachin Pawar may also be a close acquaintance of the deceased.

The minister admitted that Sachin Pawar worked with him from 2004 to 2009, but claimed that he had severed all links with him after he was sacked from the BJP after he contested a civic body election in Mumbai as an independent. But till next morning Rajeshwar did not return home, after which his family filed a missing case at the Pant Nagar police station in Mumbai. The driver said Mr Udani got into another vehicle at the market. The police found his decomposed body, without any apparent injuries on 5th December. The police will be questioning her with regards to the Rajeshwar Udani's death row. The report also suggested that he was identified by his son from the clothes and shoes that he was wearing.

Investigators suspect Rajeshwar Udani's kidnappers may have killed him at some other location before dumping the body in the Panvel forests.
