The organisers of the Oscars are searching for a new host after the comedian who had accepted the job a few days ago announced that he was stepping down over homophobic remarks he had made on Twitter. "I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past".

Hart repeatedly made anti-gay comments in a series of now-deleted tweets published between 2009 and 2011, even threatening his son with violence if he caught him playing with dolls, and insulted various celebrities by calling them "gay" or "fag". "My team calls me, 'Oh my God, Kevin, everyone's upset by tweets you did years ago, '" he said in an Instagram video, apparently exasperated with the current times.

After Kevin Hart bowed out of hosting the Oscars, finding a suitable comedian to emcee Hollywood's most iconic award show has become harder than ever. "I wouldn't tell [a joke about fearing my son was gay] today, because when I said it, the times weren't as sensitive as they are now".

Kevin Hart seemed to fit the bill until he shocked tinsel town by stepping down as the host of the 2019 Oscars on Thursday after his years-old old homophobic tweets resurfaced - and he refused to apologize for them. "Guys, I'm almost 40 years old".

Watch SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket landing fail in style
As it became known later, the company SpaceX has failed to catch the fairing of the Falcon 9 rocket in a network on the ship Mr. While SpaceX is disappointed at the unsuccessful landing, its customer, NASA, is delighted with the successful Dragon launch.

In a video on Instagram, Hart said the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences gave him an ultimatum: apologise or "we're going to have to move on and find another host". If you don't believe that people change, grow, evolve?

Turns out the Ride Along star has addressed the tweets back in 2014 and also failed to adequately apologise, as the words "sorry" or "I apologise" were missing yet again.

People have stepped down from being the public face of the event amid controversy, as producer Brett Ratner did in 2011 for anti-gay slurs.

That year, a tried-and-true Oscars veteran - Billy Crystal - jumped in to save the show, hosting for his eighth time. Hart said he "loves everybody". I've said who I am now versus who I was then. Some have said Ellen DeGeneres, who hosted one of the Oscars' highest-rated shows, or Tom Hanks, who has a longstanding academy relationship. "We do have to admit our guilt and say, 'Hey I messed up and let's fix this thing.' I think that he will do that, and he has always done that". I've said where the rights and wrongs were.
