Macaulay Culkin Changes His Middle Name After Letting Fans Vote

Macaulay Culkin is synonymous with Christmas thanks to playing the lead in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost In New York.

He asked fans on Twitter what he should change his middle name to, and "Macaulay Culkin" won.

Things started when Macaulay wrote on his website BunnyEars last month: "My middle name is something dumb". All fine choices, I'm sure you'll agree.

Macaulay added that his brother Kieran Culkin had suggested Kieran would make a good middle name, TheMcribIsBack was inspired by McDonald's McRib burger, while his girlfriend Brenda Song had dreamed up Publicity Stunt.

"And then you can be all 'Oh, you got your wife a lovely portrait of your family?"

The honors gala took place in Washington, D.C., earlier this month but will air tonight (Wednesday, December 26) on CBS at 8 p.m. The Oscar victor appeared visibly emotional, however, after Adam Lambert took the stage to perform her 1998 smash, "Believe".

Almost 61 thousand people voted for the wining name.

"Home Alone" star Macaulay Culkin revealed last month on "The Tonight Show" after growing exhausted of his current middle name, "Carson", he was ready for a new one. It has a nice ring to it (if you like my name). But with over 60,000 votes, the runaway victor was "Macaulay Culkin".

The star was originally given the middle name Carson, after Kit Carson, an American frontiersman. Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.

"So, if somebody comes up to me at the airport, and says, 'Excuse me, are you Macaulay Culkin?' I'd go, 'Well Macaulay Culkin is my middle name", Culkin said.

Remember that adorable kid from Home Alone? Fallon voted during the interview, selecting the future victor, Macaulay Culkin.
