Brown's hospitalization unfortunately follows a rather hard year amid her divorce from ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, whom she previously accused of physical and verbal abuse.

The Spice Girls star, 43, admitted needing hours of surgery after a nasty accident.

Spice Girl Melanie Brown has been forced to cancel a book signing in NY after suffering two broken ribs and injuring her right hand.

To be more specific, the musician was set to participate in a book signing in New York City this week, and that's obviously not going to happen given recent events.

Mel has not yet revealed how she sustained her injuries.

Macron pledges to raise French minimum wage in response to protests
Political analyst Dominique Moisi said the important thing in Macron's speech was not only "what he said but the way he said it". Around 320 people were injured during protests across the country on Saturday, including 39 police officers, authorities said.

The Spice Girl posted a photo of herself, wearing a blue hoodie with the word love with a rainbow above it, showing off a bright purple sling revealing that the she has not one, but two broken ribs, and a severed right hand, which needed emergency surgery. "I'm absolutely gutted but I can assure you it WILL happen at a later date, I promise".

While recovering, Brown was visited in hospital by bandmates Geri Horner (Ginger); Melanie Chisholm (Sporty); and Emma Bunton (Baby). The book came out November 27th, and she was set to embark on a book tour for the book.

"Ohhh the pain, but I'm in super safe hands with the care of everyone here at the hospital!"

Sharing a snap of them all together around her bed, Mel added: "When your besties show up to hospital with hugs, laughter and lots of love".

The scary injury comes in the midst of a busy time for the singer, who recently released her memoir, Brutally Honest, and is set to tour with the Spice Girls next year. "I love my Spice Girls".
