When Elon Musk sits down with an interviewer, something interesting is always bound to come out of the Tesla CEO's mouth, and his forthcoming interview with 60 Minutes is no exception.

Musk said he does not respect the SEC, but when asked if he would obey the settlement, he said: "Because I respect the justice system".

That caused a brief spike in Tesla's share price, leading so-called short-sellers, who have been betting on the stock crashing for years, to lose millions.

In a post on Twitter sharing "Tesla history trivia", Musk said that the co-founders bought the name from Siewert in 2004.

The SEC had also demanded oversight of the mercurial Musk's social media use.

"It's not realistic in the sense that I am the largest shareholder in the company", Musk said in an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes", broadcast Sunday evening.
