Just a few days after losing LeBron James to a groin injury, the team has already lost another player.

He only returned from his broken hand December 21, playing in three games in five days before getting hurt again. Rajon Rondo is now expected to miss close to a month of action, according to ESPN.

Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo will be sidelined at least a month after undergoing surgery to fix a ligament on his right ring finger. Rondo missed 17 games this season while recovering from hand surgery to fix a fracture.

In 14 games this season, the 32-year-old Rondo was averaging 8.4 points and 6.7 assists per contest.

Prior to the Lakers' loss to the Sacramento Kings on Friday, head coach Luke Walton said they were taking Rondo's injury "day by day".

It looks like the Los Angeles Lakers will be without Rajon Rondo for quite some time.

The Lakers face the Clippers on Friday night in the first game of the season against their Staples Center co-tenants.

With Rondo on the sidelines, Lonzo Ball will be the Lakers starting point guard for the near future.
