Verizon Communications Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd on Monday confirmed long-held industry expectations they would seek to steal a march on Apple Inc by launching U.S. 5G smartphones in the first half of 2019. Samsung, which released its poster a day after, had a galaxy background too with a caption "Real Galaxy". It features a hole on the top left of the screen, which houses the selfie camera. It can be disappointing that the new smartphone would be running on Oreo despite the Android Pie, which has already been released in August. The Nova 3i, on the other hand, features a 6.3-inch screen of FHD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 409 ppi. The front-facing camera is also expected to be equipped with a 24-megapixel sensor.

The Galaxy A8s is tipped to be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor which will be combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is also said to come with a 3,000mAh battery. This would appear to be an expansion of in-display fingerprint technology that's expected to show up in next year's Galaxy S10 models, which would be its first phone with such a sensor. The Samsung Galaxy A8s was recently also certified at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States hinting that the handset also be launched in the U.S. soon. From that image one could see the positioning of the front camera on the top left corner. Lenovo will unveil the Z5s tomorrow, Samsung has scheduled an event for December 10 to unveil the Galaxy A8s.

Moreover, Huawei's Nova 4 teaser picture showed the phone with a galaxy background. Like the Nova 3, the Nova 4 might be equipped with dual cameras on its back. In the meantime, Huawei has announced on the chinese social networks about the date of the presentation of the Nova 4. If it does, it won't be available through any of the major carriers. While Huawei Nova 4 is launching on 17th December, Samsung Galaxy A8s is launching on 10th December.
