Madhya Pradesh No ban on ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ reports are misleading says state

The film is based on the book by Sanjaya Baru, which caused a stir back in 2014.

Interestingly, the global actor who looks strikingly similar to the former Prime Minister with the turban and white beard, used to practice 3 - 4 hours daily perfecting his voice that could resemble to Dr Manmohan Singh. Akshaye Khanna is portraying the role of Baru and is also narrating the film.

We must say, it's Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna who emerge as show-stealers and keep you hooked. The trailer of the film talks about many crucial topics, be it the nuclear deals that Manmohan Singh wanted to crack or the Kashmir issue that he wanted to solve. He said he had found "that facts have been played with and presented in incorrect manner" with regards to Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi and the Congress Party. The star cast of the movie includes Anupam Kher as ex-PM Manmohan Singh and Akshay Khanna as Sanjaya Baru, who worked as a spokesperson and media advisor between May 2004 and August 2008. The focus is on the power dynamics between Gandhi and Singh, with present Congress president Rahul Gandhi presented as the successor in-waiting.

After much wait and anticipation, the makers of TheAccidental Prime Minister released the film's trailer on Thursday.

German actor Suzanne Bernert is playing the role of Sonia Gandhi.

Directed by debutant Vijay Gutte and written by Hansal Mehta, the flick is set to hit the theatres on December 21.
