6 passengers confirmed sick on Frontier flight from Cleveland to Tampa

A Tampa Airport spokesperson confirms that six out of the 226 passengers aboard Tuesday's Frontier Airlines flight 1397 became ill and began vomiting.

"Once the plane landed and Tampa officials realized what they were dealing with, the sick passengers were referred to their personal health care provider and CDC had no further involvement", Haynes told TIME.

A WFLA reporter obtained video from the plane from when passengers were alerted to the issue. Those passengers deplaned around 4.30pm (local time).

Authorities haven't provided information on the symptoms passengers were experiencing or their conditions. The source adds there is no definitive link between the water fountain and the illnesses, only that all of the ill passengers may have used the water fountains before the flight.

Rival Huawei , which is the number two smartphone manufacturer in the world, could also adopt something similar, adds the report. Later that day, Hillard took his XS Max - along with its melted case and screen protector - to his local Apple Store.

Sandra Palomino, who was traveling on Flight 1397 but was not sick, said passengers were asked to monitor their health for the next few days. "You're going to be informed as to what to do if you become sick over the next couple of hours".

"The cause of the illness remains under investigation".

As seen in footage shared by WFLA, the rest of the passengers were held on the aircraft after landing in Tampa.

Michele Dynia, a spokeswoman for the airport, said the airport is uncertain if any sickened passengers drank from the closed fountains, but the fountains have been taken offline out of an abundance of caution. "Passenger safety is Frontier's number one priority".
