Colts & Adam Vinatieri reach deal for kicker's 24th NFL season

Adam Vinatieri is coming back in 2019 for his 13th season with the Indianapolis Colts and his 24th National Football League season. Vinatieri's birthday is December 28.

Vinatieri did struggle in Indy's playoff exit to the Kansas City Chiefs, missing his only field-goal attempt as well as one of his two extra-point tries. Vinatieri said. "I haven't made the decision yet". "I love being in the locker room with these guys and stuff".

Undrafted out of South Dakota State in 1996, Vinatieri spent the first decade of his career with the New England Patriots before joining the Colts in 2006.

Health officials encourage Albertans to get their 'very effective' flu shot
On Vancouver Island, the influenza A H1N1 virus has sent children and people in their forties and fifties to hospital this season. The deaths bring the county's flu season death toll to 24, a far cry from the 174 deaths reported at this time last season.

"If they're wanting, I can't imagine (I'd) not keep playing, you know?" "But like anybody, we're all gonna sit back and just decompress a little bit and see where it goes".

Vinatieri is coming off a record-filled 2018 season, one in which he became the NFL's all-time career leader in field goals made and points scored, topping Pro Football Hall of Famer Morten Andersen in both categories. Vinatieri missed the shortest field goal of his career and an extra point in what was an overall abysmal performance by the Colts, whose season ended with a 31-13 loss.

Despite that, Vinatieri told the Indianapolis Star two days after the game that he was leaning toward returning for another season.
