New promotion All Elite Wrestling announced along with AEW Double or Nothing event

It's been rumored for weeks now that a new wrestling promotion is being put together behind the scenes with Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks at the forefront of the company.

The group released the latest episode of Being The Elite early Tuesday morning, confirming the rumors that they were both starting up their own independent wrestling promotion and that they planned on having a follow-up event to the widely successful All In show. All Elite Wrestling is officially here. They are expected to sign in the next "24 to 48 hours".

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, AEW are in talks with multiple television companies, but no deal is in place at the moment. Meltzer adds that "guys are being signed to multi-year contracts". That report also noted BJ Whitmer is signing on to be a producer. You know I don't know who's going to be announced and who's not as far as contracts goes.

Cotton Bowl to host 2020 Winter Classic
Colorado's opponent for the 2020 NHL Stadium Series ™ will be announced at a future date . The game has been held annually since then, usually at football or baseball stadiums.

As noted, there will be a "Double or Nothing" rally in Jacksonville next Tuesday, January 8th at 5 pm ET at the parking lot of West Club at the TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rhodes, the Bucks, Brandi Rhodes, Page, Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky were all promoted for the event, which would feature "a special announcement from The Elite". The Young Bucks, who along with Rhodes are the driving forces behind AEW, are obviously expected to sign shortly, as are numerous familiar names that are cast regularly on "Being the Elite".

This could limit the promotions that fans will be able to see certain top indie stars, but in the end, it will be a very good thing for the pro wrestling business.

Various other big names have been linked with the new promotion, including Chris Jericho and Jim Ross.
