Apple greets CES 2019 with snarky iPhone privacy billboard

Apple uses famous Las Vegas slogan to promote iPhone security on billboard near CES

Apple uses famous Las Vegas slogan to promote iPhone security on billboard near CES

Officially known as the J.Flex, the unique cell debuted some time ahead of this year's Consumer Electronics Show but Jenax intends to use the Las Vegas-based happening as an opportunity to showcase its latest tech advancements on the global stage and share some additional details about how its unconventional invention came to be. Lately, however, it was Google's Assistant and Amazon's Alexa that made their presence felt during this annual event.

Apple's billboard, which was first spotted and shared on Twitter by Engadget's Chris Velazco, is clearly at dig at the various products and services appearing at CES that aren't placing enough priority on users' privacy and security.

With a minimal, white-text-on-black design, the ad features text prominently reading "What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone", alongside an outline of Apple's smartphone. The ad, naturally, also includes a link to Apple's privacy page where Apple explains why it believes "privacy is a fundamental human right". We can say for sure that there won't be a single person attending CES next week that will miss this giant ad.

Rays Plan to Close Upper Deck Seating, Reduce Capacity to 26,000
The Rays have been seeking a new facility, and have said they're committed to remaining in the Tampa area. The team is also replacing the current field lights with energy-efficient LED ones.

Apple might also be playing defense, though.
