In a statement to news agency PTI, Chairman of the Committee of Administrators (COA) that runs the BCCI, Vinod Rai, said: "We have sent showcause notices to Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul for their comments".

On the show, Pandya boasted about hooking up with multiple women and spoke about how open he is with his parents, saying he had once told them after losing his virginity, "aaj mai kar ke aaya". Host KJo also asked him as to why he didn't ask these women their names in the club, to which Hardik had responded, "I like to watch and observe how they (women) move".

After the bombing episode with Kangana Ranaut in 2017, Karan Johar delivers yet another controversial episode with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on his couch this season.

After backlash, Hardik Pandya apologises for comments on TV show Pandya, whose remarks on "Koffee with Karan" were criticised as sexist, apologised for his remarks, saying he got "carried away by the nature" of the show.
