The alleged victim sobbed from behind a protective curtain during questioning, asking for a break as she broke down in tears, The Sun reported.

The woman said she did not "instigate" sex with Hepburn.

Alex Hepburn arrives at Worcester Crown Court in January 2018.

However, Alex Hepburn has denied two counts of rape, claiming the alleged victim was awake and that initial kissing led to consensual sexual contact, says the BBC.

The court heard the victim believed she was still in bed with Mr Clarke, who had left the room to be sick, but woke to found Hepburn performing a sex act on her.

At the end of her cross-examination, Ms Heeley asserted: "I suggest it is a possibility that your memory of how sex with Alex Hepburn started is not completely clear?"

When asked by Hepburn's barrister Michelle Heeley QC whether she was "fairly drunk" after drinking wine, Prosecco and spirits on the night of the alleged rape, the complainant responded: "I was tipsy, but well aware of what I was doing".

As per the reports, the Aussie has allegedly had 15-20 bottles of beer on the night of the incident.

England Lions and former Worcestershire batsman Joe Clarke told a court he had consensual sex with the woman before leaving her in a bedroom to be sick in a bathroom, where he fell asleep.

According to The Sun, she told the court: "I remember being on top of Joe".
