Adrianne Haslet, the professional dancer who lost a leg in the Boston Marathon bombings and became a symbol of resiliency, remained at a city hospital Monday after being struck by a auto over the weekend in the Back Bay.

Adrianne Haslet shared a photo on Instagram of herself in a hospital bed, writing that she was in a crosswalk when she was hit.

Further details about her injuries are not immediately clear, but Boston police told local media they were not thought to be life-threatening.

"Struck by a auto on Commonwealth Avenue, while on a crosswalk", Haslet said in the post.

Police say the collision occurred around 7:15 p.m. Saturday and that the driver received a citation for failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

The Boston Globe reports that the driver of the vehicle told police he had not seen Haslet crossing the street because it was raining and she was wearing dark clothing.

She was "thrown into the air" by the force of the auto, and the left side of her body was crushed when she landed, she said. Yesterday. I'm completely broken. "I can feel your love and support and just wanted to say thank you". "And I think it's important to always remember how far you've come as well because I have days where I think I haven't come that far at all, which sounds insane to say, but you get in these mindsets".
