Alert bus driver rescues one-year-old abandoned on busy road

A Milwaukee County bus driver is being called a hero, after she rescued a toddler found wandering alone in the cold last month, barefoot and dressed in only a onesie and a diaper.

A woman passenger on the bus is also seen removing and offering her coat to warm up the child as they wait for the police to arrive.

Ivic stopped her bus, darted across the street, picked up the crying child and carried him onto her bus, where passengers could be heard saying, "Oh my God!"

Her co-counsel, Ann Ravel, was a commissioner for the Federal Election Commission under the Obama administration. Some of the Google employees involved in the walkout released a statement Thursday in support of the lawsuits .

Irena simply said she was grateful to be able to help, according to the statement. "When I saw [her], I pulled over my bus and immediately walked to pick him up". "I am shaking", Ivic said in the video as she sat down in the driver's seat with the toddler. The boy was chilled after spending time outside in the freezing temperatures.

The Milwaukee County Transit System says the boy was less than a year old and wearing only a diaper and a onesie when bus driver Irena Ivic spotted him on December 22.

The child went missing after officials believe her mother had a mental health crisis, the transit system statement said. The girl was reunited with her father.
