Cardiff now sit 17th in the Premier League after an uninspiring 0-0 draw at home to Huddersfield highlighted why Warnock is so determined to strengthen his squad this month.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock has criticised the Government's handling of Brexit negotiations and admits he can not wait to get out of Europe.

Warnock said: "I think once the country knows what they're doing, it will be straightforward [to make signings] ..."

When asked about Sala, Warnock said: "Anything could happen, I'm not writing anything off, but I'm not optimistic about anything".

"Why did we have a referendum in the first place?"

'I can't wait to get out of it, if I'm honest. We'll be far better out of the bloody thing.

Warnock launched an attack on the Government's failure to deliver on the 2016 referendum result, saying he could not wait to be out of Europe and added the parting shot: 'To hell with the rest of the world'.

"There's that many agents, I had one player last week recommended to me by five different agents".

Nathaniel Clyne insists his "intention wasn't to hurt anyone" after being heavily criticised by his former manager Neil Warnock for snubbing a move to Cardiff.

The 70-year-old Warnock branded Liverpool a "disgrace" and said they lacked class, while he was unhappy not to receive a phone call from the player.

'In every aspect. Football-wise as well, absolutely.

Cardiff City are owned by the Malaysian-Chinese businessman Vincent Tan. "I don't think the Chairman and Chief Executive have ever worked as hard to get me players".

Neil Warnock compared business in the January transfer window to "climbing a mountain with butter on your hands" as Cardiff City's frustrations persist.

"When you look at the game, we quite easily could have lost, but if you can't win, you've got a point and you're better off having a point than nothing". "That's the job we're in at the minute".
