Chandler Parsons, Grizzlies Agree To Part Ways

According to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski, the Grizzlies and Parsons have mutually agreed to part ways, and are working on a plan to finalize how it will happen. Limited by injuries, he played a combined 70 games over the first two seasons of that contract, but Dunleavy told The Commercial Appeal on December 28 that Parsons had been cleared and was ready to play.

At media day in September, Parsons said he thought his knee issues were past him after playing with no limitations during the summer.

He hasn't taken the court since the team's third game of the season back in October and has since been practicing with the team in hopes of avoiding a stint in the G-League, something which he was adamantly opposed to.

The Grizzlies are looking to move Chandler Parsons.

The Grizzlies still owe Parsons $38 million on his four-year, $94 million maximum contract, including $25.1 million in 2019-20.

Grizzlies general manage Chris Wallace released a statement following the ESPN report, saying that for now, Parsons has chose to continue his rehab in Los Angeles.

Families furious after woman in vegetative state gives birth at nursing facility
The outlet also reported that the patient has been in a vegetative state for at least a decade after almost drowning. No one knew she was pregnant and healthcare staff were initially unsure why she was moaning, the reports said.

"We met with Chandler and spoke with him and his representation numerous times during his rehab process, laying out a number of options to help integrate a healthy and effective Chandler back on to the floor", Wallace wrote in a statement on Sunday night.

The Chandler Parsons era in Memphis is coming to an end.

Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace wanted Parsons to play several games with the Grizzlies' G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, before deciding on returning Parsons to the active roster with the Grizzlies. Trips to the G League for veterans are traditionally treated as rehab assignments, not tryouts. They now hold a record of 18-21 and have lost five straight games. Before signing with Memphis, Parsons had never played fewer than 61 games in a season in the National Basketball Association with stints in Houston and Dallas. He has instead been scrimmaging 5-on-5 with the team in recent weeks to prove his readiness, and he made a positive impression on the coaching staff and teammates with his ability to still contribute offensively, sources said.

"Let me play!" Parsons shouted at Wallace several times after hitting 3-pointers during a scrimmage.

Parsons was named the Grizzlies' starting forward in training camp but suffered a knee injury just three games into the year, which forced him to miss the following 28 contests before he was cleared to return.
