Cody Rhodes on committing his life to AEW for the foreseeable future: "For me and for [Brandi], this is it though".

AEW is the brainchild of another former WWE star Cody Rhodes - son of wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes - and The Young Bucks, an Indie sensation tag team.

While it is unusual seeing Jericho on this table, the fact that he has signed an agreement with a rival company, any foreseeable comeback to the WWE universe has now safely reached a dead end. And they did not disappoint.

Ireland to receive migrants after Malta agreement
However, Malta has reached an agreement with some European Union member states to allow the 49 migrants on board to disembark. The migrants will be transferred to Maltese military ships that will bring them ashore.

In an interview with Busted Open Radio, Jericho revealed that McMahon knew beforehand that he'd be joining AEW. Jericho explained that, beyond the wrestlers that people see performing in the ring, AEW still needs to establish which people will work behind the scenes in making executive creative decisions. This assumption can be made after he made a surprise appearance and blurted out that he was "All in" for all forms of Elite Wrestling.

Attitude Era star Billy Gunn is also on-board as a producer. It's fun hanging out with Bill. if the situation was right, obviously.

As for the AEW's first show, it was announced by Cody and The Bucks that the sequel to their All In event-Double or Nothing-will take place on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Apart from a show at the 15,000 capacity Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena on a date still TBC, no other live dates or TV tapings have been announced so far. Now, after an AEW rally held in Jacksonville, Florida earlier this week, those involved with the new company have shared many more details, including several names that will make up the AEW roster. This could be the year true competition returns to the sport for the first time since 2001.
