After a rather confusion case of miscommunication between Epic Games and the players; the 14 Days of Fortnite event extension has officially began. Now, though, the event is live once again in Fortnite as of this morning. Unfortunately for some fans, the challenges were disabled earlier than expected.

Epic Games revealed on January 4 that the 14 Days of Fortnite event would return "next week", but didn't reveal an exact release date. Players were upset that they couldn't complete the challenges and earn their rewards and Epic addressed this by compensating players with the Equalizer Glider.

The 14 Days of Fortnite LTM kicked off just before Christmas, giving players the chance to complete challenges for festive themed rewards.

Many players disappointed at the fact that they no longer had the chance to complete the challenges and earn the various cosmetic rewards, voicing their displeasure across various forms of social media. Players will have until January 15th to complete the challenges. After further discussion, we've chose to bring back this event early next week through January 15 at 3 AM ET (0800 UTC).

Instead, when the mode returns all the challenges will be available again for its full duration, so you'll be able to complete any that you missed. The only catch is that you'll have to start over if you had any partially completed, because progress hasn't been saved.
