Hotstar took down the Koffee with Karan season 6 episode featuring Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on Thursday amid the outrage over their misogynistic statements. This one was aired two weeks ago, on December 30, 2018, whereas Hardik and Rahul's episode was supposed to be the first episode of this year on Koffee With Karan.

The Committee of Administrators chief Vinod Rai had recommended a two-match ban on Rahul and Pandya.

The comments made by Rahul and Pandya were unanimously deemed to be "sexist" and "misogynistic".

A representative of Star World confirmed to HT that the channel has deleted the episode from Hotstar.

Pandya had said on the show that he told his parents about losing his virginity and pointed out women to them with whome he had a relationship.

On the show, when the host Karan Johar asked the bowler, "Why don't you ask women's names at nightclubs?", he replied, "I like to watch and observe how they move".

"At a party, my parents asked me, 'Acha tera wala kaun sa hai [Which women are yours]? I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move". Rahul answered saying, "up to the woman" while an outspoken Hardik said: "Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai". He added, "Honestly, I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show". Rahul has not yet reacted to the social media storm.

"I made an appearance on the chat show where I have made certain statements without realising that these could be disrespectful and offend sensitivities of viewers for which I am sincerely regretful", stated Pandya's response, as quoted by PTI.

The Indian cricketer also said that his family was cool with his sexual activities. The BCCI will announce Friday whether it plans to ban or suspend them, which has delayed the announcement of India's squad for the first ODI against Australia, slated to take place Saturday in Sydney. Hardik is presently in Australia along with the Indian cricket team where they have won a historic Test series against Australia.
