FBI investigated how Trump's actions seemed to benefit Russian Federation

It is speculated that Mueller will issue his report within the next few months, but Giuliani seems unfazed by the impending Russian Federation probe.

In a phone interview Giuliani, who is a member of Trump's legal team, told the news outlet that the team should be able to check the conclusions of the report, which is now in its 20th month.

So far, five key advisors to Donald Trump have been found guilty of crimes after being charged in the special counsel investigation.

Trump's lawyers and Mueller's team have had no contact since then, Giuliani said. Earlier on Friday, Giuliani sounded a little less confident, requesting that the Trump administration get the opportunity to "correct" the final Mueller report: "As a matter of fairness, they should show it to you - so we can correct it if they're wrong".

The grand jury empaneled by the special counsel has been extended for another six months, however, signaling that the probe may continue beyond the winter.

"They could try to subpoena him if they want, but they know we could fight that like hell", he said.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller, declined to comment.

"Unlike President Obama, who let Russian Federation and other foreign adversaries push America around, President Trump has actually been tough on Russian Federation", the statement concluded.

Giuliani also tried to shrug off the revelation accidentally made by former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort's lawyers in an unredacted court filing that Manafort had apparently shared internal campaign polling with a colleague with reported ties to Russian intelligence. It is unclear what happened to the probe after that. Not only do we know that Mueller knows Manafort was talking with - and sharing polling data with - Konstantin Kilimnik - while he was the head of Trump's campaign, we also now know that Mueller has talked to the pollster from whom Manafort may well have taken those numbers that he shared with Kilimnik. However, Giuliani told Reuters at the time, he would not answer questions on whether he tried to obstruct the investigation once he won office, such as by firing former FBI Director James Comey.
