Chelsea are preparing a summer move for Barcelona star Ivan Rakitic as they look to finally fill the void left by Cesc Fabregas, according to reports in Spain.

"I want to be here and, if I can, to renew and be here for many more years".

The Spanish outlet says the Blues are now plotting a stunning deal to try and persuade the Croatian worldwide to quit the Nou Camp and move to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Cagliari's Nicolo Barella and Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes have both been linked with a move in recent days. "I want to be here for many more years and, above all, I want to have a great season and win a lot of trophies".

"Those that know me know that I am just focused on playing. I know who I am", he said.

Barcelona would be willing to negotiate for Rakitic departure in a bid to clear him off the wage bill of the club if the offer is right.

"I am very happy here, everyone knows that, above all the president. I'm 30 years old and I'm having the best moments of my career", Rakitić said. I want to enjoy football and enjoy Barca'.

The Barca midfielder, though, categorically stated his intention to remain with the four-time UEFA Champions League winners, claiming that he is now in the form of his life.

Rakitić can play two more, if not three more seasons at a top club, and it's no surprise that the interest of PSG and Chelsea appeared in the last few months.
