It also came as a welcome surprise to the show's loyal viewers, who will recall they had to wait until July past year when Season 7 premiered.

Not long ago, fans of HBO's Game of Thrones received some promotional content for the highly anticipated eighth and final season of the popular series.

The brief shot show Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) with Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) - together for the first time in the show's history.

"Winterfell is yours, your Grace", Sansa says, in a voice a chilly as the coming Winter.

That's right: Not only is Jon Snow a legitimate Targaryen and Daenerys' nephew, but he is the first Targaryen in line for the throne.

By the end of Season 7, Daenerys and Jon had become lovers, although neither of them are aware that they're actually related. HBO chief executive officer Richard Plepler told Variety that the final six episodes are like six movies.

Elsewhere in the video, the gang from "Big Little Lies" including Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman and Laura Dern are seen standing in what appears to be a police lineup.

This new footage looks like it's from the same scene.

Game of Thrones is coming back in just a few months, and honestly we can not WAIT. Plus, we got our first official look at the upcoming Watchmen series which promises to be an exciting affair. Though Sansa has learned how to play the game, her facial expressions are still easy to read - and every one we've seen so far is icier than Winterfell itself.
