HBO Announces 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Premiere Date

Luckily, the wait is nearly over since we now know the premiere date of the eighth and final season!

The series is officially set to return on April 14 with the final six episodes that will serve as a conclusion to the hit fantasy series. Winter is here, and it's going to be a challenge for everyone in Westeros. There will only be six episodes in the final season, one less than previous seasons. Hopefully, Bran can make it to the Stark family reunion because as every Game of Thrones fan knows, people you love tend to die. The stunt reflects how the pay channel - like CNN, a unit of WarnerMedia - intends to leverage its most-watched show and "Thrones'" avid fan base to help launch other programs leading up to and during its finishing run.

Nobel Prize-winning scientist stripped of last honorary titles over racist comments
He said the scientist's awareness of his surroundings were "very minimal" and rejected the notion he was a "bigot". Watson, Crick and another British scientist, Maurice Wilkins, won the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1962.

Recently, co-executive producer Bryan Cogman said that the final season "is about all of these disparate characters coming together to face a common enemy, dealing with their own past, and defining the person they want to be in the face of certain death". Meanwhile, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Jon were busy having incestuous sexy times on their journey back to Winterfell after securing a fake truce from Cersei (Lena Headey).

HBO kicked off the year with calculated Game of Thrones hype, starting with a four-second clip snuck into an ad during the Golden Globes.
