News Here's what Slightly Mad Studios' console might look like

Jump forward to today and, well, Bell is back at it again and has this time given us our first images of what the Mad Box will supposedly look like when released.

Slightly Mad Studios are still in early talks with manufacturers of components and have confirmed they have the "designs specced out in detail".

Myanmar: Arakan Army launches deadly raids on police posts
The AA are calling for greater autonomy for the ethnic Rakhine Buddhist population in what is one of the country's poorest states. The Myanmar army has always been engaged in controversial operations in Rakhine state.

With the curiosity aroused, Bell padded all that as well when he revealed concept images via his fairly new Twitter account. As you would expect for a device that is more of a cross between a console and a gaming PC, it looks pretty wild with bright color schemes the order of the day. We originally said the Mad Box would essentially be a Steam-box system that plays PC games due to necessity, especially since established devs and publishers would likely stick to PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch until the Mad Box proves itself (if it even can). Although the specifications haven't been revealed, Mad Dog is targeting a whopping 180fps at 4K, which translates into 90fps per eye in VR.

Slightly Mad Studios, the developer of the two Project Cars games, apparently has ambitions way beyond the software it's previously put out. Apparently, the company has no plans to pay developers on creating exclusively, something that Bell said is not aligned with the company's philosophy. It isn't everyday that a new company decides to enter the console market, and it's definitely rare to see a game developer attempt to make the jump to gaming hardware. Of course, that may change once the console comes out and becomes a hit. We came away from that teaser with a lot of questions and a promise from Bell that renders of the console would be coming in the next few weeks. Investors have approached Bell about the ambitious project, but nothing has been secured for now.
