Former Cleveland Cavaliers star forward LeBron James is now out of the Los Angeles Lakers' lineup due to a strained groin, and while there's now no timetable for his return, a recent report indicated that he could rejoin the Lakers' rotation on January 13, when they host the Cavs.

The Lakers on Friday said James' injury will be re-evaluated in one week.

The Lakers (21-17) are 1-3 in James' absence and host the Knicks on Friday.

"Whether or not Ingram is an ideal fit next to James stylistically, the bigger issue may be financial as the Lakers search to add a second star", Pincus wrote.

Pliskova into Brisbane final — WTA roundup
The Japanese said in quotes on the WTA Tour: "If I'm being really frank, I just feel like I had the worst attitude". Vekic broke Pliskova for an early 2-1 lead, before the former No. 1 found her stride.

"He's working on his body, his game, himself all the time", coach Luke Walton told reporters (via ESPN). He met with trainers on the court, appeared to tell them he "felt it pop" and then headed to the locker room without assistance.

The team said James is receiving daily treatment for the injury, which occurred during a win over the Golden State Warriors. The LeBron-less Lakers will clearly be looking to bounce back against the Wolves. They've posted a comically bad 4th quarter offensive rating of 83.3 in the 4th over their last five games, by far the worst mark in the league. Two days later, the Lakers will entertain James's former club, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Of course, part of the problem is that it isn't just James out of action for Los Angeles.
