Leeds United in talks to sign Real Madrid keeper Kiko Casilla?

Leeds have been looking for a goalkeeper since November, when Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman broke his leg in an under-23s match.

A report from the Yorkshire post claims that Casilla is expected to arrive in England early next week to undergo a medical and will complete a permanent move from the European champions.

Casilla is a one-cap Spanish worldwide and was part of the Real Madrid squads which won the Champions League three time in succession.

The player wants to play Championship football this season and he is one of several players Leeds are considering, although a deal in principle is believed to be close with Real Madrid for Casilla.

United wanted to loan Darlow from St James' Park but were put off by Newcastle's £4m asking price.

Olivier-fifer puts South Africa ahead in Johannesburg — Twitter Reactions
Olivier claimed five for 51, his third five-wicket haul of the series, as South Africa gained a first innings lead of 77. Sarfraz said the bowlers had also let their standards slip towards the end of the day when De Kock flourished.

Fraser Forster was also liked with a move from Southampton but Casilla now looks set to become Leeds' first signing of the January transfer window.

Casilla started his career in the youth ranks at Real Madrid before then moving away to make his mark at senior level.

He returned to Real Madrid in 2015 at a couple of loan stints but the arrival of Courtois pushed him further down the pecking order.

Despite making 30 first-team appearances for the club, the 32-year-old is said to be keen to leave for more regular action.

The 32-year-old would provide serious competition for the talented but inconsistent Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Leeds fans were certainly excited at the prospect of bringing in such a player.
