There's more pressure on City. Liverpool are favourites

The four-game festive Premier League programme typically passed with no end of unusual results. With players such as Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Bernardo Silva, Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are a more artistic side... If one will play on Monday, then it is all my responsibility.

Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness highlighted these set of results recently and stated they are what makes his job so hard. He only has to talk and analyse the games, spare a thought for us punters who have to attempt to predict the outcomes!

It was nearly as if City had won the Premier League trophy itself at the final whistle with the celebrations - which included the injured Benjamin Mendy running onto the pitch to embrace hero Sergio Aguero. Their two defeats against big six clubs however were both at Molineux, one against Tottenham and the other against Liverpool.

Hoever will be named in the travelling squad to face Wolves. The question for the rest of the league season is which City we are going to see, working on the assumption that Liverpool will remain fairly consistent.

The excitement at Anfield is now at fever pitch with Liverpool four points clear at the top of the Premier League and enjoying one of the best seasons in recent memory.

"I said it after the game against City at home that they missed a penalty, that could have been a defeat and it wasn't, so things like that".

"Liverpool lost, but Klopp will be urging them to take massive confidence from the fact that a side as big as City reacted like when beating them".

Big men Aron Baynes (left fourth metacarpal fracture) and Robert Williams (left groin strain) were also out for the Celtics. Coach Brad Stevens told reporters after Boston's 120-111 loss that Irving had "a scratched eye" and will take antibiotics.

This indicates that the former Sevilla star could move on for free in the summer as he continues to struggle for game-time on a regular basis under Klopp on Merseyside.

"I know it was a huge game, and a huge win for City".

Liverpool faced Wolves in the Premier League on December 21, with goals from Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk ensuring a 2-0 victory. It has been pointed out that most of his titles in other leagues have been processions rather than fights, with peak Barcelona and Bayern Munich rarely having to come from behind, though the City manager has just answered any critics who thought he might shrink from confrontation.

Four days on from suffering their first Premier League loss of the campaign, Jurgen Klopp's men must avoid coming unstuck against Wolves in this competition for the second time in three seasons.

"I spoke to Ryan Giggs about it, and he said of all the league titles he won with United, the first was by far the hardest".

And that is by backing the Reds with a -1 handicap, which is available to back at [4.0].

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo on Liverpool: "We know it's a fantastic team and manager".
