Suarez's Barcelona return to action with a Copa del Rey clash with Sevilla on Wednesday evening, while Liverpool's next match sees them host Leicester City in the Premier League on Wednesday, January 30.

But the Uruguayan striker says he will always have a special place in his heart for the Premier League outfit.

Suarez told German magazine 11FREUNDE: "Anyone who has every player in Liverpool remains connected to the club for a lifetime".

There's a veritable smorgasbord of players who have pledged allegiances for both teams over the years with a handful still donning either the blue or red.

Suarez has gone on to impress with Barcelona and admits he is a big fan of Liverpool's manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool poached him to replace FA-bound Matt Konopinski and should Nobes be part of the backroom staff, he will be able to add to his CV that he has helped win back-to-back English top tier titles for the first time in his career.

There are also several Pro Bowl events this week, including community service projects and the annual skills showdown. Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen will participate in the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown on Thursday evening in Orlando.

He continued: "Currently we work for two different clubs, so that's not an issue for me at the moment".

"It's that long ago I actually played the last time Liverpool won the league, which shows how long it's been".

Jurgen Klopp's side have been out in front for some time now, with just one defeat suffered so far, and belief is building when it comes to ending a 29-year wait for domestic supremacy.

The Reds now lead Manchester City by four points at the top of the Premier League and, despite their 4-3 aberration at home to Crystal Palace last weekend, have the best defensive record in the top flight.

"Beating Brighton was fantastic as it wasn't a great game, against Crystal Palace they came back from being behind so I think everything is in a good position for Liverpool".
