The Miami football program has undergone a significant transformation since the end of the 2018 season.

After days of speculation about who would be tasked with trying to fix Miami's beleaguered offense, Diaz has chosen former Alabama associate head coach and quarterbacks coach Dan Enos to lead Miami's offense, the school announced Friday afternoon.

Enos is a well-traveled coach; he spent just one season at Alabama, too.

Enos was a quarterback at Michigan State. Enos is coming off a season where Tua Tagovailoa was the Heisman runner-up and the Crimson Tide offense broke nearly every single-season offensive record in program history.

There's something more to this move that needs to be kept in mind. Diaz did not retain any of the offensive coaches when he took the job following the surprise retirement of Mark Richt, and has insisted that quarterback play in 2019 must be better - whether the answer is already on Miami's campus, or if a graduate transfer (which Hurts is) has to be brought aboard. The relationship the two developed could continue at Miami where the Canes are one of the possible suitors for the hottest free agent in college football.

"His experience as a head coach will also provide invaluable insight to our entire program", Diaz said.

FINAL DESTINATION To Receive More Final Entries
New Line is reviving its " Final Destination " franchise, which has been dormant since 2011, says reports. The original premise of Final Destination features a young student by the name of Alex Browning .

"I couldn't be more excited to join a program as rich in tradition as the University of Miami". Among the reports of possible hires were former Houston coach Major Applewhite, former North Carolina coach Larry Fedora, Clemson co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott, Toledo coordinator Brian Wright and former Southern Cal coordinator Tee Martin. This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.

Nick Saban hired six assistant coaches past year. "I learned so much during my time there and I will always be grateful".

Enos helped Hurts develop as a passer this season, albeit in a relief role behind Heisman runner-up Tua Tagovailoa.

UM's announcement of its OC came less than two weeks after Diaz fired Miami's entire offensive coaching staff. Diaz was hired to replace retiring UM coach Mark Richt on December 30.

Enos arrived in Fayetteville after serving as the head coach at Central Michigan from 2010-14.

Enos was one of the driving forces behind an Alabama offense that set the program record for total offense (522 yards per game) and scoring offense (45.6 points per game) in 2018. We do not care who plays quarterback for us. The Dearborn, Mich., native and his wife Jane, have two children, Lia and Alex.
