National Basketball Association will livestream ISO cam on Twitter for TNT games

Twitter Will Stream NBA Games Using An ISO-CAM Starting With The All-Star Game

Beginning with the 2019 NBA All-Star Game on February 17, the NBA is hooking up with TNT and Twitter and will stream isolated single-player camera views during the second half of 20 NBA games on TNT. The games received an overall positive reception and Major League Baseball will more then likely repeat the streaming next season.

The NBA has 27.5 million Twitter followers, the most of any professional sports league in the world.

As part of the move, the over-the-top (OTT) content will compliment Turner's National Basketball Association coverage, offering its audience a way to view the game from different vantage points in real-time.

The NBA, which has a record of accommodating social media more fully than other pro sports, will join with Turner Sports to allow fans to vote for which player they want to see in an isolated camera live-stream, and let Twitter users watch that player for the entire second half of a game.

Air Traffic Controllers Sue Trump Over Shutdown
Lauri says she has a little money saved up, but worries about many of her coworkers who were living paycheck to paycheck before the shutdown.

Fans will be polled during the first half of the game and the player who receives the most votes will receive the ISO-cam treatment for the second half of the game. NBA Twitter is massive, so you can bet there will be plenty of attention paid to this new iso-cam.

Through its NBA Digital partnership, Turner will also continue to provide on-demand content from the NBA Twitter handle, including video of pre-game warmups, in-game and post-game highlights, and behind-the-scenes content. The idea is to add a second-screening experience that complements the linear presentation on TNT.

"We're taking live content and expanding its footprint", said Twitter content partnership head Kay Madati.
